Will hardwear hold its resale value?

Possibly just to justify the purchase I’m wondering do people think the hardwear line will hold its value?
I’m very close to buying the graduated necklace.
I am sure I won’t be selling but let’s say I did would I get the amount back or close to it on resale?

I doubt that you'll recoup much more than 25% of the retail price, @sarachryan.
If you love it and will wear it, go for it. BTW, I have the graduated hardware necklace in sterling silver. The retail price has more than doubled since I purchased it when the collection debuted. If you hold this necklace long enough, that might happen for you as well. For me though, it's a keeper.

I would think you’d get at least 50% of your purchase price back… and potentially more the longer you hold it. I don’t know about full purchase price, unless you hold it for a long time and maintain its condition, AND Tiffany is very aggressive with price increases.

I would rather get cost back per wear. I think resale is hard to pin down. I’d feel
More confident re resale if it were a Cartier or VCA piece. Perhaps check beladora and other resellers to see Tiffany resale prices? Good luck
100% this. I love Tiffany jewelry but it’s not known to hold resale value well.

IMO it’s better to buy jewelry you will wear and love rather than going into the purchase thinking about selling.
