I don't experience any more or less issues than any other open tote or hobo. This bag is designed to slouch at the top, so I don't think there is really a way to avoid it without overstuffing the bag, which would most likely lead to things falling out of it.

thank you for answering! the voyou was on my 'admiring respectfully (read: lustfully) but not seriously considering for my lifestyle situation' until I started seeing the silver crinkly version and the new iterations, eg with gold/silver HW, pop up. I am very much someone for whom pragmatics is a major factor, so that was a barrier. But then I saw the close-up, in-action IRL glamour shots in this thread and the detail of the bag hook by @ghoulish (!!) AND the mod shot by fellow petite @muchstuff strutting their stuff with bonus bookshelf backdrop, and I hear beautiful women on a faraway cliff lallating my name... they say they're called the sirens and they only want to help me, see...
