Pls help me decide between JUC choker or VCA 10 motif guilloche necklace or Bulgari serpenti demi pave bracelet?

Thank you for your honest thoughts about the JUC.
That point you mentioned about the age is what worries me too. I saw it on Megan Markle and it looked nice on her but I do wonder if it would look as good in the long run.
I have both, 10 motif yg guilloche and yg JUC with pave on the edges. Totally different looks for different moods. You get used to JUC and even forget that you are wearing a necklace. I feel like JUC can be both an everyday and special occasion piece. I love layering it with large pave frivole pendant. I feel like both pieces are unique in their own genre: if a choker then JUC, if a 10 motif then guilloche or pave. Start with one you want to wear right now and can’t wait to have. You will find a justification to add the other later 🤣

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. That last sentence is exactly what I had in mind😊 I was thinking of eventually getting both but the question is which one first? I dont know if it is wise to go with the one that is pricier first to avoid further price increases? I feel that any further price increase on the JUC choker wont be justified.

Do you find the JUC choker durable? Since it is a wire, do you think it will bend out of shape? How long have you had it for?

So I wanted the JUC choker for a while, finally ordered it and ultimately returned it. I found it to stick out weirdly around the sides of my neck and I did not love the way it rested on me. I might have needed the 29 instead of 31.

The other reason I returned it was because two people told me that it was concerning if in an accident, the edge of the nail point could somehow pierce my neck and hit a vein or artery. This I'm sure is so highly unlikely and probably silly but it made me concerned about the safety wearing it and sometimes once someone says something, it's difficult to ease the mind.
I know I'm really late to chime in on this but I have the JUC choker...we're talking about the solid wire where the clasp is buried in the nail head just as it is in the bracelet, correct? I'm thin (so not a big neck) and the SA strongly recommended going with the largest size (33) so that the curve of the necklace rests on the muscles properly as they flare out from the neck....does that make sense? She said a lot of people had issues with it sticking out when they went with smaller sizes. I do not have that problem so something to consider for OP if she's still interested in this piece.

Will try not to get my neck pierced though....

I bought the JUC first. I woke up one morning with a thought that I have to have it. I always liked the look of a simple gold wire necklace. I don’t think you can find anything as reputable as the JUC in that category. I have had mine a little over 2 years. Honestly, I found myself even falling asleep in it, that’s how used I got to it. Of course I take it off overnight. I have not had any issues with bending. The wire is pretty flexible and sturdy at the same time. I have a thin neck and I went with the medium size. Some SA recommended getting the larger one based on the size of my neck, he said otherwise it will not sit in a correct way. However my SA told me to go with the medium, and I took her advice. It is hard to advise on which one you should buy first. A lot depends on your personal style and lifestyle. I wear the JUC more often than guilloche. I think it can be an impactful everyday piece. I will upload some photos, hope they will help to make a decision.

The JUC looks so stunning on you and sits beautifully. Thank you so much for uploading the photos. Really helped.

I think I will go with the JUC first as it looks so good on its own as well as can be layered with other pieces. Plus I love the clean polished look especially when worn with a collared shirt.

Does the sizing determine wear the nail head sits on the neck? or is just the width of the choker?

I think the sizing determines how the nail head sits at your throat. The choker is curved to lay across the contours of your neck/shoulders. In my case while I am thin but went with the largest diameter it rests comfortably without any gapping from the choker to my skin. Here is a photo of me wearing it.....

Looks so so stunning on you and I love how simply chic it looks. Thank you for uploading the photo.
The gapping is what was also making me hesitant and I like that the correct sizing can overcome this. I will go with the largest size and try.

Hi everyone,

I finally bought the JUC choker in size 33cm. I love it so much
However, I feel that the nail head sits a bit too low making it look more like a necklace than a choker. I prefer it to sit at the collar bone with the nail head in that ‘hole’ between the bones. Do you think size 31cm would be better?

Congratulations on your purchase ! I think that the difference is not that big. Right now you are concentrated on it and you are doubting your choice. The same thing happened to me. I did go with medium size for the exact same reason. I wanted the look of a choker. Then I started doubting my choice. I’m sure I would have the opposite dilemma if I went with the large size. If you are still able to exchange it, I would go and try 31 again. If you feel comfortable in 31 and it fits the way you imagined it should, then you should consider it. If you cannot exchange it any more, then 33 is the right size for you. I am sure the necklace looks stunning on you in any size.

Thank you so much for your kind words😊

I have exchanged the 33 for the 31 and am now waiting for it to arrive next week. My SA said that if I decide that the 33 was better I can still exchange it back.

I hope the 31 looks better and fits over turtleneck sweaters that I seem to wear a lot in winter. One of the factors that is also making me so undecided between the sizes is that does a neck get larger or thinner as a person ages? I think I am just overthinking.

Lol I ask the same question to everyone about fingers and wrists. I always have my mom try my jewellery. 🤣 I even had my husband wear my juste necklace. I wanted to see if it will feet me just in case my neck gets thicker:smile:) I don’t think the neck gets thicker with the age. It may get thicker if one gains weight: due to a buildup of fat, also known as double chin. I’m that case there is lypo lol.

Lol 😂 Brilliant idea of letting the husband try it🤣
I need to stop overthinking and wait till I try the 31. I just hope it wont be tight.

Hello,

I exchanged the JUC choker size 33 with a 31 and I like the fit better as it looks more like a choker and sits well (though it is a bit snug when worn with a turtleneck shirt).

Regarding the clasp, I find that it is easier to open than the 33 one. Without much effort I can easily open it; unlike the 33 where I had to twist to open.

Which one is normal? To twist to open or to just pull apart with minimal effort? I dont know which one is the right one and if mine will just open while wearing it.

Thanks.
