Hello,

I want to buy as my first VCA piece a vintage Alhambra pendant.

I can't decide if I should go for the mother-of-pearl one or for the hammered gold one.

The MOP was always my first choice for the longest time. But it is very delicate and I have to put it off and on to protect it, which can be very annoying with the time. Because of that, I'm afraid that I won't wear it as often.

On the other side I also really like the hammered gold one, which is much more carefree. Here I'm sure, that I will wear it non-stop without worrying about it.

I don't know which one to chose. I prefer the look of the MOP, but the carelessness of the hammered gold one.

Does anyone of you have one of these (or both ;))?

Thank you for your help

My MOP Alhambra pendant was my first VCA piece and one I still enjoy wearing often, so I am a fan.

The hammered is great as well, but you likely cannot get one for quite some time, if they are currently even taking orders at all. The hammered pieces have to be paid in full in advance and pre-ordered, and it is taking several months to get them in. At times, they have not even allowed new orders to be made for a while.

If getting the necklace sooner rather than later is a factor, MOP is way more doable.
