How do you store or display your purses/bags/handbags?

So I when I bought this twilly I had the SA tie it on my bag and I've been storing the bag with it on ever since. Should I be doing that? I'm wondering if color transfer is likely...

So I am not an expert but, from my understanding the twilly is to protect issues from hand oils, so I suppose you could take it off during storage, but also it doesn't hurt to leave it on? I leave mine on if I last used it with the twilly.
