Hi, I’m new on here and wasn’t sure where to post this. Has anyone had any experiences purchasing from HEWI (hardly everwornit), I’m looking at a Gucci bag on there and just want to make sure that it’s 100% legit! Thanks!
About 2 years ago, I bought a vintage Gucci scarf from someone. It was fine, but I knew exactly what I'm looking at/for.
HEWI is just a platform for other sellers like VC. I love vintage, especially Gucci, but I don't believe you can trust anyone with anything. You either need to know what you're looking at or buy new.
Thank you! It’s one of the ‘managed by HEWI’ items that they ship and physically authenticate so that makes me a little more confident that it will match the description! However, I am quite good at authenticating myself so hopefully it’s all okay when it arrives!
Unfortunately it’s a bag that I can no longer buy through Gucci directly.
Italist has a brand new Gucci 1955 Horsebit Shoulder Bag for sale for $2,300. That's $1,100 off retail price, which is $3,400 + additional tax. Has anyone bought from Italist before? Is it legit? And is this type of deal rare? I have seen the bag pop up a few times on Italist over the last few months - they usually have one of these bags for sale at a time, then it's purchased and a new one appears - and I can't tell if that's sketchy or not. Thanks in advance!
I haven't bought from them recently but in the past Italist was a stand up site to purchase from.
Is it just me or is everyone trying to get a Gucci Marmont? I am curious and want to ask you all, what in specific is it about Gucci that you guys love? Where do you all usually go to buy your Gucci?

I like my marmont boots, but the popularity of that line peaked a few years back (I’m the kind of person who stashes things away to wear after the peak lol)
I adore the classic Gucci bamboo top handle, but haven’t found the right one. I also adored the Gucci Dionysus. But, at any rate, I’m not entirely sure either suit my style
I would only buy at the Gucci flagship in NY, bc one of my favorite SAs during the Tom Ford era (when my mom and i bought rtw there) became the manager there (and was still there post covid). But, unfortunately I am not fond of recent rtw collections
