For those of you who carry your bags crossbody/on the shoulder, is it comfortable to carry in that way and does it compromise the 'hug' mechanism or change the shape of the bag when you wear it?

I love it so far. I usually hand carry or crook of the arm carry it. It has plenty of room.

My only con is the smooth leather. I try to be careful so I don’t scratch it.
The latest version of the Hug has an inner flap to protect the things you’re carrying. Spoke to an SA this past weekend who mentioned that clients wanted more privacy and a flat, shorter strap to carry it as a shoulder bag.
Great news! Is it out already out? I love this bag and almost pulled the trigger but it felt too open while the strap was way too long. Sounds like I cannot say no now 😉
I recently bought the medium black with red interior hug and I love it! Gorgeous bag. I also own the mini aka xs hug in testa di moro, dark brown with a camel colored interior. They are both great. The mini one fits way more than it looks. My large card case, big key ring, sunglasses, iphone. The medium has a ton of room.

I just bought mine in stone and also shoes to match. In love with the quiet , sophisticated luxury feel of the Hug bag. Recently , I’ve retired my Chanel and Hermes for a while since they scream “look at me” …I’m looking into Loro Piana, the Row and Ferragamo.

I have a medium hug bag and LOVE it. I receive compliments on it all the time. The detachable strap is long enough to wear on the shoulders or as a crossbody. I do keep the front buckles on the tighter setting to close the top a bit more.
I have the medium and purchased an insert from Mai Tai. I purchased the insert for the Birkin 35, and it fit my bag well. I did order a custom insert, because I wanted a specific fabric
This is my second insert from Mai Tai, and while not inexpensive, it’s worth it to me in order to protect my bags. I like that the inserts are well made, beautiful stitch detailing, and they aren’t rigid.

Happy to help! I will add that I’m not sure if my Ferragamo is now considered the large. I recently read that they updated their sizing. If so, I purchased mine in early 2024 when it fell under the medium category.
