Hi there! I’ve been eyeing the Hug bag for several months now, and was wondering if anyone has purchased it? Would love to get your thoughts on it! I’ll be visiting NYC soon, and am planning to stop by one of the boutiques to see it in person. I’m looking at the small size.

I plan on purchasing the small size soon. It will be a Mother’s Day gift to myself. Have you tried them on in person yet? There’s a drastic difference in the three sizes.
I've seen it a few times Ferragamo and Selfridges, various variations and colours I think it's a lovely bag, neither too formal not casual.

I haven’t tried them on yet, but planning to soon. I’ll try to remember to take pics to post here. I think the size small will most likely be the one I choose.
Completely agree! It’s a beautiful bag. I’m loving the black with red interior, and the brown leather with canvas in the Soring ‘24 collection.
I purchased the small recently and love it! It’s all calf leather, really beautiful to touch and not heavy at all. It comes with a crossbody/shoulder strap and the hug mechanism makes it so the top is more secure than a regular open top bag. You can also use the second hole to cinch the bag more if you’d like added security. I’m really happy with it! Has a classic shape with an interesting design. Mine is from the last season so it’s all black inside. New season has different color interiors. I tried on the red and it is absolutely stunning. I needed a black bag though so I stuck to that 
I have the mini in the green and I love the bag! The mini doesn’t cinch more closed, but I haven’t had anything fall out. The leather is so beautiful, so soft, all I do when I have the bag is touch it!

I've seen it at my local boutique and it is indeed a lovely bag. One thing that I felt detracts from the bag for me is that it is open at the top although it may not look it from photos. Personally, I would have preferred if there was a way for it to close along the top but the SA said that it would probably compromise the shape of the bag if they added a zipper closure. She mentioned that perhaps if they added some kind of flap to close the hole at the top it wouldn't compromise the shape.
It is nice and I am patiently observing it (not in the market for another tote at this point but might see it fitting in to my collection at some point). It remains to be seen if it will be the "classic" they are positioning it as.
It doesn't seem to gape open too much because of the proportions of the handles. And, FWIW, the World's Most Coveted Bag is also a tote that seems only ever to be closed when photographed on resale sites - otherwise I always see it carried in the wild wide open.
Hug bag purchased! I thought I would come home with the small size, but ended up preferring the medium size. The proportions just felt better to me. I think I just like larger bags
