So many posts talk about corner wear, scuffs, etc. and I see on my own bags how the rest of the bag might look ok but the corners .... yikes.
I've seen people say the sharp corners on the Chanel Boy scuff easily; but then again softer more folded corners like on my old Coach bag are totally worn off.
So what makes an ideal corner on a bag? Or is it no corner at all?
And how do you take care of the edges/corners of bags so they don't wear off?

I’ll be honest, I’ve never had a bag whose corners have shown wear. Maybe because I rotate bags so much?
Could be; I don't really baby my bags and until I joined tpf I never really thought about being careful with the corners.
But I recently picked up that older coach bag and saw the corners on the bottom and was taken aback

I haven't had this issue but i kind of baby my bags and don't use any bag that much bc I rotate to try to use a variety (and since I work from home, there are many days I never leave house and don't even use a bag).

I am a bit concerned about how the corners on my BV Hop bags will wear (given discussion about this on tpf) and I really want to buy a Chanel 22 but worry about this as well (given photos of used ones I've seen online).

What type of corner does the Bv have? More pointy and sharp ? Or folded ones?
Trying to determine if the shape or material that makes a corner more or less prone to wear and tear

Here is photo of hop so you can see shape. Mine are too new/little used to know how they will wear in time but I believe some people concerned about that too bc of the shape and how prominent the corners are.

Yep I'd be bumping those corners all the time for sure, plus they'd get rubbed when I put down the bag too. ( slightly off topic, do the weaves stretch out and get loose over time? Always wonder every time I see a bv bag)

I have a Ysl Loulou that has sharp pointy edges and the corner wore almost instantly. The bags with a more rounded edge are doing fine even including lambskin minis and 19 style. I've only had them under a year though.

My fendi peekaboo has sharp corners that are so far ok but I don't use it often . Will see how it holds up.
