Thank you! Sorry you’re not worried about the heat stamp at all? That’s what I’ve been nervous about cuz it doesn’t have “made in Italy” and seems a bit high but I’ve never had a Chloe before so I’m usure
hi, the 'made in' moved to a different location in later years, the price will depend on condition and black always fetches more. Yours seems priced fine. Its just what your willing to pay.

I could also just be overthinking the heatstamp location because of paranoia tho. If you think it’s fine then that’s good enough for me tbh

Oh no I worded that wrong, high as in the “Chloe” doesn’t look completely centered to me. Like it’s a little closer to the top?
i don't believe they aim for centering at all, i have photos that are too low and some too high, some deep emboss some so faint you wouldn't say its there. They are consistently inconsistent. its frustrating but that's why i cant authenticate all Chloes, there are too many variations.

That’s good news then if they are generally inconsistent. I’m assuming then the edge paint being exposed is just due to age then as well

@Roie55 so I actually consulted a leather worker about the red stain because from my research Chloé did not typically have red edge paint for their black paddingtons and it felt off.

The leather worker told me that the bag had definitely been dyed black by its previous owner although it is actual leather it was probably originally a light color dyed red to black or a red color dyed black.

That being said as long as the rest of the bag is on par with Chloe’s standards it is most likely authentic just poorly dyed by its previous owner IMG_8550.jpeg
