Legit App / Legitapp

Prior to today, I'd never heard of this company nor have I had any experience with them.

I am cross-posting (both in the Coach subforum as well as the general shopping sub) because this is a warning that should be heeded by ANY buyer of highly faked items and brands.

After doing a search of the site, Legit App / Legitapp.com, I saw that some members have used them.

Although I found a fake Coach bag they authenticated, I went to their website and saw that they do sneakers, watches, clothing, jewelry, accessories, shoes, and luxury handbags (Hermes, Gucci, LV, etc.) as well as other brands.

Their site advertises, "LEGIT APP offers professional authentication services for a diverse range of luxury items. Our expertise extends across eight categories."
and
"LEGIT APP Authentication is your trusted partner for verifying the authenticity of luxury goods. Powered by a combination of expert human analysis and advanced AI technology, we provide accurate and reliable authentication services for a wide range of items, including handbags, sneakers, watches, and more."

The particular Coach fake I found that they'd authenticated had very obvious and multiple discrepancies that should NOT have taken an expert to accurately judge.

Because we've seen "verified authentic" items from various professional companies, it's always a good idea and doesn't hurt to ask on the appropriate TPF subforum.

If they make this obvious a mistake, I can't even imagine how many other mistakes they may have made.

My Experience with BT Clinic

My Experience with BT Clinic

I’m not Asian, but I gathered much of my information about South Korea from this forum, so I feel it’s important to share my experience with the group. In early March, I underwent a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Lee and a genioplasty, including the removal of an old silicone implant, with Dr. Hobin.

Background on Previous Surgeries

Over the years, I had four rhinoplasties, including one silicone chin implant, the last one being 25 years ago. I was unhappy with the result: my nose was long and droopy, and the final surgeon removed all the supporting cartilage, causing my right nostril to collapse. Furthermore, my thick nasal skin made it difficult to achieve aesthetic results. I consulted a Harvard-educated doctor in my city, who advised that my nose skin was too thick for successful surgery and warned me not to believe anyone who promised better results.

Choosing BT Clinic

After researching clinics on this forum, BT Clinic stood out, and Dr. Lee’s extensive experience was appealing. I contacted them through WhatsApp and was primarily in touch with Grace. I flew to Korea for an in-person consultation, during which Dr. Lee reviewed my CT scan and examined my nose. He assured me he could improve its aesthetics by shortening it and making the tip point upwards. He also planned to rebuild my nose and the right nostril valve for better breathing and recommended using donated rib cartilage to support the structure and tip. It seemed like a promising plan.

The Surgeries

I also met Dr. Hobin, who would handle the removal of the silicone implant and perform the sliding genioplasty. The surgeries were challenging: the chin revision took about an hour, and the rhinoplasty lasted four hours. I was informed that both surgeries were successful, though I was very swollen. Despite a slow recovery, I hoped for good results.

Results and Reflections

Six months later, my experience was mixed. Dr. Lee’s rhinoplasty results were nothing short of amazing—he is, in my opinion, the best. I highly recommend him. I did not receive any special discounts or arrangements from the clinic; I’m simply thrilled with my new nose. After over 30 years of issues with my nose, Dr. Lee finally corrected it.

In contrast, my experience with Dr. Hobin was deeply disappointing. The genioplasty, a relatively simple procedure, was poorly executed. Dr. Hobin removed the silicone implant and advanced my chin by 5mm but left my mentalis muscle unattached, leading to chin ptosis and lip incompetence. He misled me about the surgery’s outcome. In August this year, when I returned to Korea to discuss my mentalis muscle and the chin ptosis resulting from the genioplasty, he falsely claimed he had reattached my mentalis muscle in March. I later had a mentalis muscle resuspension surgery in the U.S., where the surgeon was surprised the muscle hadn't been reattached after the genioplasty. For context, if the mentalis muscle is not reattached, your lower lip will fall, exposing your lower teeth and gums.

If I had to redo the procedures, I would choose Dr. Lee for the rhinoplasty and have the genioplasty done in the U.S. Korea can be a risky place for surgery, and while I was fortunate with my rhinoplasty, my experience with the genioplasty was devastating. Based on his performance and dishonesty, I do not think Dr. Hobin should be practicing medicine. Be careful out there.

ATOP, JW, Girin, or Braun? Trying to fix the Rhinoplasty I had here in the States.

Hello about a year ago I got a Rhinoplasty here in the states which ended up being semi botched, and since I’m planning a trip to Korea with my sister and her husband, I thought I’d get my revision here. I’m looking to slim my tip, fix the scar tissue, and do something about my scar. I can speak some Korean, but my brother in law is Korean so he can help translate. My options I’ve been looking into are Braun, JW, ATOP, and Girin. Does anyone have any suggestions for which clinic would be best for me or have any recommendations for other clinics?

New Dior bag 30 Montaigne avenue top handle bag! Good buy ? What do you guys think ?

I came across this new launched video with the information that Dior got a total new bag launched which is despite many tote bags and miss dior flap bags full with logo more classic and on the elegant side. I think it’s firstly inspired by the 30 Montaigne bag but the style and shape is much more curvaceous. What do you guys think of it ? It only comes in one size though and has a strap that’s removable as well. Could be worn just with top handle or with strap for over shoulder or cross body .

I saw on the website they have two colours available as well. Light blue and this light pink. Would you guys think this style would last ?

My first VCA piece - MOP or hammered Gold Pendant

Hello,

I want to buy as my first VCA piece a vintage Alhambra pendant.

I can't decide if I should go for the mother-of-pearl one or for the hammered gold one.

The MOP was always my first choice for the longest time. But it is very delicate and I have to put it off and on to protect it, which can be very annoying with the time. Because of that, I'm afraid that I won't wear it as often.

On the other side I also really like the hammered gold one, which is much more carefree. Here I'm sure, that I will wear it non-stop without worrying about it.

I don't know which one to chose. I prefer the look of the MOP, but the carelessness of the hammered gold one.

Does anyone of you have one of these (or both ;))?

Thank you for your help

My First ever Céline bag- the phantom luggage

Hey my lovelies,
I can‘t tell for how long I am looking after this specific bag. It must be 10 years I guess. I bought this one second hand. Its the medium one in a greige color. I thought it is more a light beige on the photos but its more a greige color. I hope I can style it since I think the luggage is so effortlessly chic. What do you guys think? Does anyone know what season this bag is?

Best wishes
Niki xxx

My facial contouring journey with Girin part 4

It"s been over 6 months since my facial contouring surgery. I've been doing very well. My face is settling into place, and the look is quite natural.

My family and friends have given me so many compliments, and they even say that I don't look too different, which I am happy about. I feel like a better version of myself, which has helped in boosting my confidence. Only those who are close to me know that I've had a procedure done since I told them. Other people would never even guess.

I have a softer cheekbone structure and a less prominent jaw, which makes me look cute, like a more friendly and approachable person. I wouldn't say that life hasn't significantly changed because of the surgery, but there is a noticeable difference of my confidence in my own skin, and I've even received many compliments from those I meet in my day to day.

Bvlgari bzero necklace in WG

Hi! Ive recently purchased a WG bvlgari bzero necklace but through a second hand market. I noticed that even with the weight of the gold, RG or YG are more expensive than WG. I found it weird because in non brand jewelry in japan, WG is usually more expensive so how come its not the same with bvlgari? Love the necklace but its hard to open and close the lock. Thanks

The End for The Caresse d'Orchidée & the Amulette lines ?

Hello everyone,

it seems that Cartier has completely gotten rid of the (wonderful) Caresse d'Orchidée & the Amulette lines ? Does anyone have any information about that ? I can't seem to find either on the web site anymore. I knew they were getting discontinued, but some pieces still remained.
It seems I've lost my chance to purchase the Caresse d'Orchidée necklace...

Also, the email I received has a specific date mentioned for advanced access but when I go to register I am able to pick any date and time. Can someone please share what advanced access would entail and if that’s only available on the specific date mentioned

MIHO - Forehead reduction & hooded eye lift review

Hi everyone!
I’ve been on here a while and used purseforum to research all the clinics I was considering when I went to Seoul in February 2024.
I noticed there wasn’t a lot of information about MIHO’s forehead reduction so I wanted to share my experience here.

I originally was in Seoul for my nose, and had a ton of consultations booked with various clinics (many talked about on this site). I’ve always been self conscious about the size of my forehead/high hairline but I didn’t realize I could do something about it until I started doing consults and reading more about it here and on All About Mei.

By the time I went in for a consult with MIHO I had a whole list of procedures I was interested in. Lipo, forehead, nose, etc. There are so many clinics it’s easy to get excited about a whole new “you,” if you know what I mean.

When I had my consult with them, I originally went in asking about just my nose and forehead but then I also had a whole list of other procedures, but I didn’t want to spend too much. I was also scared of having so many surgeries done since I was there alone.

The lift specialist doctor, Dr Yoon Jungwon, pointed out that he could very easily also fix my hooded eyelids while he was doing my forehead reduction. No threads, just an eyebrow lift. He said I was an excellent candidate as my skin is very elastic. He said excellent candidate quite a few times. I had such a great impression and feeling of confidence from this doctor.

I ended up deciding to just do my nose and went to CDU. If I’m being honest, I was being cheap and they were offering a really good promotion at the time. But to say the least, I should have gone to MIHO for my nose too. I am so unhappy with my nose, even now almost 8 months later.
I have some pretty strong feelings about how that surgery went… I was conscious the entire time! Which was traumatic in itself. But that’s not what this post is about so maybe more on that later.

I had initially decided against doing my forehead after doing my nose. Having remembered everything that happened to my nose during surgery. I didn’t want to deal with the post op, swelling etc… TBH, I was scared. But after I felt better one or two days after the nose surgery… I was still unhappy with my hooded eyes and forehead, so I reached out to Kevin at MIHO and decided to go for it. The doctor’s confidence in me as a candidate really really helped with making this decision. Also knowing I would be under anesthesia helped too.

I am SO glad that I went back to MIHO for my forehead reduction and hooded eye lift!!! I am so much happier with the size and shape of my forehead. Which was something I’ve always been really self conscious of. AND he fixed my eyelids! Something I always just accepted about myself and hadn’t considered “fixing.” I wasn’t even prepared for that bonus, but now, months later, I am SO HAPPY that I went back to MIHO for my forehead and eyes.
At first the stitches across my hairline were pretty scary looking, I looked like Frankenstein. I was so self conscious of the stitches (there were MANY) and I was so scared that I would have a huge scar on my face.

But now, I can tell you, there is no scar! And there are even baby hairs growing from the surgical site, so if there is any scar it’s very minor and hidden. Seriously, no one can tell I even had the surgery.

The doctor understands and speaks English well.
However, I am so grateful for my new friend Kevin who stayed with me throughout the entire process. He translated for me, made sure I understood everything exactly as intended, comforted me when I was nervous, and was so helpful the entire time. He knew I was there alone, so he helped me out as much as he could. He went to the pharmacy to get my meds while I was in surgery so I wouldn’t have to, bought me some pumpkin juice packets to help with the swelling and called a car for me to make sure I got back to my hotel safely.

The nurses were so sweet and gentle. Many of the girls who work in the clinic had also had this procedure done, and I felt like they really understood what I was going through and really wanted to help. I had many post-op checks because I was being paranoid about the scar. The nurses would clean up the stitches each time and the doctor came every time to check on me and see how I was healing. They even gave me a teddy to grip onto if I looked uncomfortable.

I am honestly shocked by how well the incision healed. And it healed quickly too!
I kind of angered a few stitches when I accidentally winced at the bright sun and pulled on a couple. Which really hurt. But even with angering a few of the stitches, you can’t even tell now.

Now, I feel so confident with my hair pulled back and my full face showing, not hiding behind bangs. I can wear eye makeup so nicely now, it’s amazing.
I feel so much more like “me” and it has really helped my confidence.

MIHO Plastic Surgery seemed well known by the local Koreans who trust them to take good care of them and make them beautiful. Which is why I initially went to them for a consult. When I met Kevin he told me he was surprised, but very happy to have a foreign patient visit. During my time in the clinic, it was mostly local Koreans having procedures done.

The clinic is NOT one of those factory type clinics. I never felt rushed, the doctor and Kevin both made themselves available to me whenever I had a concern. The lobby/waiting area is comfortable, everyone is so sweet, the operation room was just one floor down from the lobby. I felt very comfortable and safe with them. So much so that I am planning on returning to Seoul in a couple months for them to do my nose.

I cannot thank Dr. Yoon enough for his dedication and work. He has restored my confidence and made me feel beautiful.

Thanks so much for taking good care of me, Dr Yoon and Kevin!! I very much look forward to seeing you again soon.
